Certificate in Anglican Studies (C.A.S)

Metropolitan Christian University offers a 30 unit program in Anglican Studies designed for those individuals who have been previously ordained in another tradition and who are now seeking reception into Holy Orders within the Apostolic Communion of Anglican Churches or another Anglican jurisdiction. It is also available for students who have completed some preparation for ordination in non-Anglican seminaries or alternative programs of study. This program offers a general battery course of studies designed to ground students in Anglican theology, history, polity, and spirituality.

TH503: Anglican Ecclesiology (Doctrines and Polity)
CL509: Overview of Anglican Canon Law
LS110: Sacramental Worship
CM505: Anglican Liturgy & Worship
TH522: Principles of Anglican Convergence
CM601: Homiletics
CM604: Christian Apologetics

On-Site Intensives:

Students are required to complete six (6) on-site intensives which are scheduled in Louisville, KY  and in Nashville, TN. The Intensives are a required part of the development of the individual pursuing reception into Holy Orders, and provide hands-on, practical and informative training in Anglican Liturgy, Missions and Evangelism, and Anglican Protocol.
