BS302: The Gospel of St. John


The purpose of this course is to equip each student with the understanding of the Gospel writer John, who wrote his Gospel of Jesus from a more Theological point of view. The Gospel of John declares unequivocally Jesus Deity as the Divine Son of God. He also wrote to a more universal audience, unlike the other three Synoptic Gospel writers.

Course Objectives: Students will learn why John begin his Gospel by going back to eternal past when declaring Jesus as the Son of God. Students will develop a deeper understanding of why John wrote his Gospel from a different perspective. Students will also learn why the Dispensation of Grace was necessary for all mankind.
